Welcome to Glens Food Crohnicles! So happy you decided to visit my blog! I started this blog to document my journey to healing from Crohn’s disease. I am a serious foodie, just ask anyone who knows me! Pretty much, food is love and love is food! Although I love food, not all food loves me, and that is ok.

Well, it’s ok now, I may or may not have shed a few tears over no longer being able to enjoy a piece of chocolate, Ferrero Rocher, oh how I miss thee!! Ok, I am back, got lost for a second there. As a serious foodie, I was determined not to be discouraged, and after starting the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, I fell in love with food again, discovered new foods, and started creating new recipes.

My recipes are free of gluten, grain, lactose, processed sugar and certain carbohydrates. Designed for those following Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD).

I post original and unique recipes as well as re-creating foods I used to eat but in healthier ways. You will find a variety of foods that tap into my unique background that blends African, British and American cuisine.

My hope is that you will be inspired on your journey to healing and realize that food can be the best healing tool you have in your pocket! If you take anything away from my blog, I hope you fall in love with cooking and get your creative juices flowing. Following the Specific Carbohydrate Diet can be physically and mentally exhausting in the beginning, I want to encourage you push through, there is a brighter side coming.
